Many off-water communities also carry deeded boat slips or shared dock access, which is the affordable path to keeping your boat on the water without paying waterfront prices.

Ramsey Creek Park

A 46-acre waterfront park with 4 boat ramps, 1 dock, and a public swimming beach (Memorial Day through Labor Day, noon to 6 PM with lifeguards). Also features playground with ziplines, ADA-compliant fishing pier, nature trails, and picnic shelters. Boat ramp fees: $5/day for county residents, $8/day non-residents. Season pass: $50 ($35 seniors).

Blythe Landing
15901 NC Highway 73, Huntersville · Mecklenburg County
A 26-acre park and one of Lake Norman's premier boating access points with six boat launches, floating docks, fishing areas, ample parking, restrooms, picnic area, sand volleyball courts, and the Dockside Cafe. Hours: 7 AM to 7 PM daily.

Jetton Park
19000 Jetton Road, Cornelius · Mecklenburg County
Nearly two miles of scenic shoreline with paved walking trails, a beach area, picnic areas, playground, tennis courts, formal garden, and waterfront hall. Great for shoreline access and viewing the lake. Note: no dedicated public boat ramp.
Lake Norman State Park
759 State Park Road, Troutman · Iredell County
A large state park with a public boat ramp, swimming, fishing, and 30.5 miles of trails. The state park offers the most extensive trail system near the lake and is a popular destination for both water and land recreation.
