How to ride the express lanes for free with HOV-3
Vehicles with three or more occupants (HOV-3) can use the I-77 Express Lanes at no cost. According to the official I-77 Express Lanes site, approximately 94,000 HOV-3 tTips are taken each month. The program is a partnership between I-77 Mobility Partners and NCDOT.
